EPTag V1 Beta Documentation
EPTag is (c) 1996 Andrew Malek of Excel Progs
EPTag WWW Page: http://idibbs.com/excel/eptag.htm
Excel Progs WWW Page: http://idibbs.com/excel/ep.htm
Free software given to random visitors - starting in October!
Hello, and thanks for checking out EP-Tag! Short for "Excel Progs Tagline
Manager," this is the only tool you will need for managing taglines under
Win3.1 and Win95! For the uninformed, taglines (tags for short) are the
small jokes or quotes often seen at the ends of electronic mail, forum
messages, and many other documents for that matter. These taglines range
from the cute to the bizarre, and cover all sorts of subjects including:
o Animals
o Cats (a popular subject for taglines!)
o Computers
o Dogs
o Games
o Mice
o Movies
o Music
o Sports
o Television Shows
o Windows (both the computer and house kind)
If you wonder why you need a tagline manager, or just want to learn more
information about EP-Tag, read on! If you want to go ahead and start taking
advantage of what EP-Tag has to offer, just run SETUP to install EPTag.
Either way, please check through this file for information about EPTag's
many features and how to get the most out of this amazing program!
---------------------------------------
To run EPTag, you must have:
o A PC running Win3.1/95
o At least 4 megs of RAM
o At least 1 meg of hard drive space (more may be needed to handle
larger tagline collections)
o The run-time file VBRUN300.DLL. We didn't include it here because
lots of people already have it (why download thesame thing twice,
right?) But, if you need it, just about any BBS has the file as
VBRUN300.ZIP. Or, download it from the web at:
http://idibbs.com/excel/saver/vbrun300.dll
o A warped sense of humor :)
If you are not sure that you have everything needed, PLEASE ASK!!! We won't
byte! <g> E-Mail Excel Progs at andrew.malek@idibbs.com or
76023.1175@compuserve.com (76023,1175 on CompuServe).
---------------------------------------
More specific help as well as a 'how-to-use' tutorial is found by clicking
on the "Help" button after running EPTag! So stop reading this boring
document and install EPTag now!
---------------------------------------
EPTag is currently in beta. This means that we do not feel this program
is ready for a full release. As such, it MAY contain bugs or errors. If
you feel that you have experienced such a bug or error, please leave e-mail
to "andrew.malek@idibbs.com", subject "EPTag Bug Report", with the
description of the error that occurred and what caused the error. Thanks!
Be sure to check the web page often for updates and news of when the
official release occurs!

You have the license to place EPTAG on bulletin board systems, information
systems, shareware compilations, or on cd-rom compilations, provided that you
distribute the ENTIRE version with file descriptions (FILE_ID.DIZ and
DESC.SDI). Although it is not required, it is appreciated if you let me know
that you are distributing EPTAG.
You may not disassemble, decompile, reverse engineer, or in any way tamper
EPTAG. Adding files to the zip archive that identify from where the file is
downloaded/archived is allowed, but other modifications are prohibited without
prior permission from Andrew Malek.
The taglines included in EPTAG were taken from those posted on several
bulletin boards and information services. They are not part of the cost
of EPTAG. Andrew Malek and Excel Progs have screened the taglines for
material they felt was 'questionable.' Neither Andrew Malek or Excel Progs
is responsible for the content of the taglines.
If you believe one of the taglines contain material that is subject to
copyright restrictions, please contact us and we will remove such taglines
from all future versions. We will also make an attempt to remove older
versions of EPTAG from distribution.
